2020 BET Awards Virtual show Winners list

Bet Awards is one of the most viewed award shows on cable television. It has an average of 7 million viewers. The 2020 BET Awards aired live in a virtual format on BET and simulcast on network CBS TV. Keeping in view the health concerns, it was decided to have virtual performances.

With six nominations, Drake led the nomination for 2020 Bet awards. Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch followed him with five nominations each. Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Lizzo, and DaBaby got four nominations each.

An interesting fact about Bet Awards is Beyoncé leads the nomination and winning table. She is the most nominated and winning artist with 62 nominations (56 solo and 8 with Destiny’s Child) and 28 wins. She is followed by Chris Brown with 39 nominations and 16 wins.

2009 Bet Awards within three days was revamped and became a tribute to the fallen star – Michael Jackson – as routines were hurriedly changed to include Jackson’s greatest hits.

Hosting and Performances on 2020 Bet Awards

Amanda Seales, the host of NBC’s “Bring the Funny”, hosted 2020 Bet Awards for the first time. Performances include Alicia Keys, Roddy Ricch, Chloe X Halle, DaBaby, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Kane Brown, Lil Wayne, Megan Thee Stallion, and Summer Walker. Truly, it was a show worth-streaming!

2020 BET Album of the year goes to “Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial” by Roddy Ricch. Teyana “Spike Tee” Taylor won the Video Director of the Year 2020 BET award.
