Along with Sherlock, Watson is another important character expected to be played by Martin Freeman. It is also expected that Watson will be played by Freeman as usual.

As the show is in its earlier times, no official date has been announced or set officially. But based on the previous records, it will take at least a year to complete planning, casting, filming, editing, and finally releasing the show.
