Cancelation and renewal practice by Netflix is nothing new. In the past, we have witnessed various statements and decisions deciding the future of different series. It all went the same way for every series gaining prominence like Aj and the Queen.
Though, there are rumors on the sky that Netflix has recently canceled the show but it doesn’t mean that we will never get season 2.
Aj and The Queen Spoilers Alert!
Netflix subscription service streamed Aj and the Queen show for its first season which starred RuPaul Charles, Izzy G., Michael-Leon Wooley, Josh Segarra, Katerina Tannenbaum, and Tia Carrere. The story is about a lady, in fact, a Queen, who is bigger than life but down her luck. Another interesting part of the series as it appears in the title – Aj – travels America with the Queen. Just like, the Queen, Aj has nothing special in his life as he is recently orphaned and tough-talking 11 years old.
Just one season!
Though many fans of the Queen, the drag performer, are convinced that this is not the final decision, renewal seems way too late even if not so. The story of befriending a young child and then taking care of him while traveling across America is a well-crafted piece of art.

Not only the story is well-crafted, but the entire cast is also the right fit for the roles like drag queens and Drag Race alumni, including Trinity the Tuck, Katya Zamolodchikova, Eureka O’Hara, and Chad Michaels. Our love for this newly born duo which is just a few months old is proof of the powerful portrayal.
How it got canceled?
It all started with a tweet from the Queen, RuPaul, back in March. This tweet which said that there will be no more seasons of Aj and the Queen by Netflix actually started a debate. Not only did fans outburst but they also register petitions for the renewal of the show.
Before the cancelation was announced, in fact during the cancelation period, fans were hoping for more episodes of the first season.
A twitter user who petitioned for the renewal of the show tweeted, “I honestly really enjoyed watching this show! It really opened my eyes, full to the fact that confidence is key and not everything can be picture perfect, but stand tall.”
Let Just hope for the best of Aj and the Queen’s future!
