We play The ghost game as a humble merchant / errand boy in a dangerous, cruel and cynical world in which everything is tied to money and business connections, and decisions affect our future. At the start of the game, we are greeted by a splash of nostalgia from Buk and destructive wave 5e spell.

Compared to the previous two games , the Conjuring is the one I have the most problems with. This game out of nowhere was recommended to me by a friend who was generally fond of racing. 

After the purchase, I did not get out of it for a long time until I gave it to a friend who, like me, is fond of confused games. After a while, I wanted to play it again, and I ran into a problem: “Eldritch Blast 5e” is a fairly common name, and this game was not very popular. Now it’s pretty easy to find it, but 12 years ago it was a real nightmare!

We sell wine. Everything! Everyone loves to drink, so it’s almost a win-win option. And you don’t have to worry too much about it turning sour. In my memory, wine in this game refers to goods that do not deteriorate over time.

Everything is very simple here! Battles take place here as in a simple diabloid, even the equipment is similar. When leaving the city, bandits come up to us and offer a deal: we give them money, but they don’t kill us in The ghost game. 

When we refuse, we can run to the exit to the world map / city gates, or kill them all. We kill the nearest gnome \ elf \ ogre. We repeat until the opponents end / death of the protagonist. 

Unlike humanoids, animals and the dead do not care about money, and they immediately attack us. Murders increase our skills, which we spend on improving our school for money. And to learn some improvement, we need to be on good terms with the teacher.

There is also magic in this game Firebolt 5e. And I understood how to study it only by the end of the game, by pressing the “TAB” key from the teacher. There are few spells here, and they are divided into elements that are not divided into the usual four. 

There is even a metal element here. And there is also an opportunity to pray to enemies at war with each other, donating money in their temples, which allows you to purchase passive bonuses. Membership in a certain guild also gives bonuses.

 The system is so convoluted that it’s easier to beat enemies with a sword to death in the old fashioned way.

You can also increase the characteristics by wearing rings and amulets. You can find out their properties by checking with the merchant. 

For money, of course! The easiest way to find artifacts is on the corpse of a bandit, or in the chest that they are guarding.

 Health and mana are restored after sleeping in the tavern. Moreover, the hotel rooms are of different quality, which affects the efficiency of rest. Or you can use health / mana potions, but they are relatively rare.

Worldview:

In The Conjuring, we periodically perform tasks that are usually limited to the typical give / fetch. Completed tasks improve relations with quest givers, which over time gives good bonuses. 

And they also affect karma, so you need to read them if the player wants to go along one of the three available paths: good, evil and chosen. 

If you do not want to become a bad guy, then avoid tasks in the style of “steal” or “deliver a suspicious message.” I didn’t bother too much, and took the path of evil. And I really liked how it was played. 

We see the narrative from the point of view of evil, where “the vile hero cowardly defended the innocent.” It is described in a very funny way!

Conclusion:

It is a very beautiful, peaceful and atmospheric game. Music is relaxing, locations are designed and made with love, each product has a separate image. The situation is spoiled by overly ambitious developers for The ghost game. 

They added too many game mechanics(Game of Thrones S08E03 Torrent) without making sure the player could use them more or less comfortably. We would have worked on this game well with a file – there would be no price for it!
