Now, the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo revealed the possibility here on Tuesday. Addressing a possible ban on Chinese social media apps he said, “We’re looking at (it)” in an interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox news.

Tik Tok has been used by millions of American and it will be hard for Trump administration to put a ban on it as compared to its ban on Huawei and ZTE. The US government has shown various concerns about Tik Tok’s privacy policy. But the subsidiary of Beijing-based Company ByteDance, Tik Tok says it stores American user data in the US.

A persistent concern that it could pass information to Chinese state agencies, is among major points behind the ban.

The crux of the whole discussion is that Tik Tok is perfectly working in the US and the recent trouble results from a glitch. Tik Tok removed it timely.
