The US Network ABC axed Kiefer Sutherland show and it was saved by Netflix. From there fans got some relief to relive their favorite political thriller, Designated Survivor Season 3. Well, the show starts with an admiringly thrilling series of incidents. Due to a terrorist attack on the State of Union address in Washington, Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland), a Secretary of Housing and Urban development catapulted to being President of the United States. Or one may say the most powerful politician in the world.

ABC axed the show and some of the experts opine in this regard that the downfall of the average audience for the second season paves the way for this. But it was explained rightly by the creator in an interview, “Creatively, we’ve had a lot of behind-the-scenes churn on the show in terms of the number of showrunners involved. We were less confident with the creative path forward than the other shows we brought back.”

Designated Survivor Season 3 Cast

There are many possibilities about the cast n crew for season 3. But this time Tom has to deal with everything without the first woman because Alex Kirkman (Natascha McElhone) was killed off in the season two midseason finale.

President may appear with Then there’s Adan Canto as Aaron Shore, Italia Ricci as Emily Rhodes, LaMonica Garrett as Mike Ritter, Kal Penn as Seth Wright and Maggie Q as Hannah Wells for the third time.

Designated Survivor Season 3 Release Date

The final episode of season 2 was aired on 16 May on ABC in the US and the rest of the world lived the episode the next day via Netflix. Luckily, Netflix announced that season 3 will be air on Friday, June 7. The UK fans will still wait for a day to watch the show.
